Australian Media Museum - NSW
Can You Help?
An enthusiastic group of ex radio, film and television professionals, some retired, some still working, are keenly interested in setting up a working museum dedicated to our industry.
Currently we have a large collection of equipment, much of which would otherwise have ended up as scrap metal.
Our collection includes:
· Film cameras from 1900, to modern day broadcast TV cameras
· 4 – 6 – 8 plate flat bed film editors, Moviolas
· Rank Cintel Mark III Digiscan
· Huge collection of lighting
· Mole Richardson camera crane
· All formats of video tape recorders
· Vision mixers
And much more!
The intention is to create a working, hands on film / television studio, which will be open to the public, and will be operated by retired and working volunteers.
We Need
· A large, accessible storage space - we have run out of space!
· Items to add to the collection!
· Your expertise and enthusiasm to join our group!
We are associated with AMMPT http://www.ammpt.asn.au/ started in Western Australia 6 years ago. Other states are following suit. The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) in Melbourne is an excellent example of what can be achieved http://www.acmi.net.au.
Time is running out for NSW. If you can assist in any capacity, or would like further information, contact:
